Amber Valley CAMRA Beer & Cider Festival 2018

Fifth year at Strutts for our 9th Festival

The 9th Amber Valley CAMRA festival will be held at Strutts on Derby Road, Belper from Thursday 27th September to Sunday 30th September 2018. Strutts, the former Herbert Strutt Grammar School is a grade 2 listed, Edwardian building and its main hall and classrooms provide a unique, atmospheric venue. Drinks will be served from a large marquee in one of the playgrounds. Strutts is ideally situated on the A6 just outside Belper town centre and has its own car park. The railway and bus stations are only a short walk away and some buses stop right outside the venue. There will be live music in the main hall on Friday and Saturday night. Thursday and Sunday will be music free and quiet rooms are available at all sessions for those who prefer to drink in peace or have a chat. Free Wi-Fi is available at the venue. Dogs are welcome but only allowed in certain areas. Advance tickets are available   HERE. Admission is restricted to over 18's after 6pm each day.  The Sunday session 12-2pm is free entry with any remaining beers selling at £2 a pint. Festival access will be from the playground/car park at the  rear of the building through the door nearest to Gibfield Lane. We look forward to welcoming you to our 9th annual Festival.

The Beers, Ciders & Perries

We aim to showcase a good mix of traditional styles along with some unusual and contemporary beers. In conjunction with our World War One theme there will be one- off specials from local breweries, some of which may be historic recipes from that era. The beer and cider lists will be available to view on our website www.ambervalleycamra.org.uk closer to the event. 2018 Festival commemorative glasses in various styles with third and half pint lines will be on sale for £3. Hire glasses will also be available on sale or return.

Festival Catering

From Thursday to Saturday Farmhouse Kitchen of Belper will be providing catering. Hot food will include curry, chilli, burgers and hot dogs. Cold options will include an assortment of rolls, pastries and cold platters. Hot and cold vegan and vegetarian food will also be available. Soft drinks and snacks will be available at all sessions with free soft drinks for designated drivers.
